The National 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program (WHEP) is designed to teach youth about the fundamentals of wildlife and fisheries science and management. The contest addresses these concepts with the following four activities: On-site recommendation of wildlife management practices, written wildlife management plan, general wildlife knowledge, and wildlife identification test.
